Elephant Chairby Brian Thoreen
The Elephant Chair by BRIAN THOREEN is made from neoprene rubber and bronze and gets its name from its floppy, rubbery sides but is actually a loose reference to the Elephant Chair by Jacques Ruhlmann. By forcing the rolls of rubber into the curved slot in the seat of the bronze the rubber becomes sturdy enough to form the comfortable curved back of the seat, hugging the user when sat. Handmade in Mexico, the Elephant Chair is a limited edition piece and also available in black rubber.

Nick Valentijn (1999) is a designer from the Netherlands who focuses on creating unique, handcrafted objects that merge traditional craftsmanship with modern design. With a background in ceramics and a passion for metalworking, he combines various materials and techniques to produce distinctive and functional pieces. His work is known for its playful balance between rawness and refinement, seeking equilibrium between roughness and detailed, precise finishes. Pushing the boundaries of conventional design, Nick challenges functionality and incorporates humor into his creations. Each object reflects his dedication to craftsmanship and his pursuit of originality, aiming to create sustainable and meaningful designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and (un)practical.
The distinctive Lana chair is a pioneering exploration of Momostenango Wool, a special, rugged wool from the Guatemalan Highlands traditionally used in rugs and tapestries.
